Paul Freestone made his start in freight as the owner–driver of a single vehicle in 1970. He became well known for pulling up on the side of the Hume Highway to polish the wheels and stacks of his truck.

Everyone said it would be impossible to maintain those standards after Paul started his company in 1981 and the fleet started to grow. But in fact those high standards have become central to the way Freestone’s operates. Today, the company operates over 70 prime movers and trailers, covering over 12 million kilometers a year from Perth to Brisbane and everywhere in between. Every one of those vehicles is kept in pristine condition to cleanliness and maintenance standards that are a benchmark for the rest of the industry.
